Spooky Halloween Wreaths | Halloween Home Decor

Halloween wreath

We are so in love with the Halloween wreaths our fantastic employees have put together that it would be rude not to share them with you!

Our polystyrene wreaths are the perfect October half-term craft activity for the kids and give advanced crafters the ideal opportunity to test their creativity. We have them in two sizes – 22cm or 30cm. We have plenty of Halloween crafts on our website to keep you busy this October.

  1. The ‘RIP’ Raffia Halloween Wreath

Halloween wreath

Isn’t raffia just the best thing when it comes to decorating wreaths? It’s so easy to wrap around and the end result is stunning!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Method:

  1. Wrap the orange raffia around the polystyrene wreath, either sellotaping or gluing the ends to the back.
  2. Wrap elastic around one part of the wreath then stretch it across to the other side and wrap again. Continue this process making sure you twist the elastic around itself in the middle of the wreath to create the web effect.
  3. Twist the black pipe cleaners around different parts of the wreath to look like spiders.
  4. Stick Halloween pom poms around the face of the wreath to create whatever look you like.
  5. The finishing touch involves wrapping purple mesh around three points of the wreath leaving the ends loose.
  6. To hang, either tie or stick black elastic to the back of the wreath and tie the end in a knot.

2. The Petrifying Pom Pom Halloween Wreath

We call this the ‘understated one’. Okay…it’s far from understated but out of the three we judged this as the most ‘elegant’ one of them all! This one takes a little more time (we estimated 20-30 minutes) but looks fantastic when finished and hung on your door. It’s the perfect wreath to welcome trick or treaters!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Method:

  1. Wrap the black braid around the wreath until all white spots are covered.
  2. Twist the animal pipe cleaners around 5 points of the wreath leaving the ends sticking out.
  3. Tie the orange ribbon around 3 points of the wreath leaving the ends loose.
  4. Stick Halloween pom poms around the face of the wreath to create whatever look you like.
  5. For the perfect finish tie purple mesh around 3 points of the wreath leaving the ends loose.
  6. To hang, either tie or stick silver elastic to the back of the wreath and tie the end in a knot

           3. The Wicked Webbed Halloween Wreath

Halloween wreath

Have you forgotten about Halloween and need something quick and easy to throw together? Or maybe you want something creative to keep the kids busy during October half term? Here’s your wreath! No glue or sellotape whatsoever – just lots of twisting involved!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Method:

  1. Wrap the black pipe cleaners around parts of the wreath making sure you twist them to secure them in place. You can cover all white spots or go for an ‘edgier’ look by leaving some spots white like we have.
  2. Twist the animal pipe cleaners around various points of the wreath. You can add as many or as little as you like.
  3. Grab your bead and thread it to the middle of the elastic.
  4. Wrap elastic around one part of the wreath then stretch it across to the other side and wrap again. Continue this process making sure you twist the elastic around itself in the middle of the wreath to create the web effect. The challenge here is to make sure the bead ends up in the middle!
  5. Tie purple mesh around 4 points of the wreath leaving the ends loose.
  6. To hang, either tie or stick black elastic to the back of the wreath and tie the end in a knot.
  7. Go all out and make sure pipe cleaner spiders with our Spider Craft Kit to place in your web.

If you have a go at making your own wreath, make sure you send us your photographs to be in with a chance of winning a £25 voucher to use on our online shop! More details can be found here.
